Leupold Turret Switch
I have an 8 to 25 X 50 Leupold VX3 scope with target turrets. I'd like to put it on a Colt/Cooper 2012 LTR rifle - the laminated stock one, not the alloy chassis type. The LTR isn't all that big a rifle, the target turrets stick out too much and make the scope overall too big for the rifle. Does anyone know if Leupold does a switch out, maybe to the turrets used on their Mark 4, 6 or 8 or even the plain old shorter "non-tacticool" ones as found on their VX3L?
I've already shot Leupold an e-mail.

Well, they went the other way for me, target turrets on a scope that came with hunting adjustments. I expect they can handle it.
Yes, they charged. I think $112. Might be less going to hunting adjustments. Might be more, since mine was done several years ago.0 -

Good to know - did they charge?0 -
They will do it and they will charge. 0 -
Thanks all. At $100.00 or so I suppose it's worth doing - beats going out an buying another rifle just to have a use for the scope as is. 0 -
Leupold used to sell the turrets if you wanted to make the change. In fact, I have switched many of mine to the target turrets. Many times I would phone them to order the turrets and they would send be a set for free.
Give them a call.
