Changing Winchokes?

    I believe there is a spanner that goes half way around the choke and engaged a notch on the other side. Looks like a C on a handle with a notch at the end of the C.

    Also, put a little oil on the choke so that it doesn't freeze on when putting a choke in.

    This is what the wrench looks like. If you do decide to use a wrench to keep the choke tube tight? I would put anti-size grease on the threads prior to tightening.

    I only snug mine up finger tight, but I check them often when in the field, just habit every now and then I give it a slight twist to make sure it is still tight.

    I like the metal filled anti-seize compound made for choke tubes. Mine just change out with a quarter, I don't wrench them down.

    I only hand tighten, never have had one to loosen under use.
