Hi. Anyone have any experience with this AR platform rifle? Accurate? Etc. Thanks. 0 -
OK, I'll bite. Theoretically, they should be accurate enough. I've assembled a couple of rifles using barrels supposedly made by/for Mossberg that were adequately accurate for anything except long range target/prairie dog shooting(which they were never intended for anyway). Functionally, I have no idea. 0 -
I would like to know if this platform will shoot 62 gr barnes TSX sub MOA or if it will shoot sub MOA period. Reports are that it is reliable. How will it compare with the bushmaster varmit rifle? 0 -
A buddy has a Windham something. It was shooting those bullets factory loaded in -.75" groups at 100 yards, right out of the box. I don't like or own AR's or AK's but that rifle impressed me. Had a nice Leopold AR purpose built scope. He later added a 4# trigger made by G somebody. 0 -
You will have a hard time finding anyone, that will say that any given bullet, will get any degree of accuracy out of anything. Basically the accuracy gaurantee's, all say, that "our rifle will get MOA accuracy with something, you just have to find what it is".
With that said, you will need something with a 1 in 8 twist to get it done with that bullet. I shoot it in uppers from DPMS, and RRA, mostly a 16" varmint bull barrel, and a medium weight 18 inch predator barrel. They like the combination I am feeding them(I ust the above said bullet...religously), as they both will print between 1/2-1inch groups at 200 yards off sandbags. Again, these are not stock AR's, and have triggers, and other parts to aid in accurate shooting.
As far as Mossberg's accuracy, I have no experience with their rifles on the AR platform.
