Winchester model 1873 question
Picked up an old 73 at an auction. The question that I have is next to the trigger is a very small bolt that I believe is to adjust the trigger. Any info would be helpful. Have taken completely apart and cleaned.

If there is a "bolt" next to the trigger, something is not right. If it is actually a "slotted screw", then that is a good indication that it is a set trigger. Posting a few pictures of it would solve the mystery. 0 -
Your set trigger, with the small adjusting screw, should look like this.

It looks just like you picture. Are these worth any more than the non set trigger. Thanks0 -
Yes worth more. 0 -
The set trigger is a Winchester special order item.
Providing condition is unaltered, any Winchester special order items, sights, magazine or barrel length, butt plate, wood or set trigger, will increase the rifle's value.
