It is a Spanish Mauser. Not sure of the model. 0 -
I believe this is your rifle.. That's the Crest for the Guardia Civil.. The wood, at least, has been refinished beyond what you'd see in an arsenal re-do..

The wood at least has been refinished. Without other photos it's hard to tell if it's been reblued also? Kind of a bummer value wise, for resale purposes. Does a number on collectors value.
As far as shooting is concerned. 7mm Mauser, is nonexistent on the surplus market any more. Buying commercial 7mm Mauser, is pricy shooting nowadays.0 -
Thanks all, that was Super Fast. You provided enough info. so that I could list the rifle.

Rufe-It could be one that was re-chambered to 7.62 NATO.. pdibar- look for a 7.62 stamp, and to be sure have a shop or gunsmith take a look before shooting..0 -

Be sure and confirm the caliber (edit- just noticed the 7.62 stamp in the auction photos.. You're good to go).. Also, you'll get some flack since it isn't truly 'original' condition, with the refinished wood.. Nice looking gun though.. Good luck with the auction..0 -
CAI is Century Arms International. 0 -
I have one that was rechambered for 308. Marked right on the barrel. 0
