MAGAZINE ID ?
I've had this magazine for a few years now and can't seem to find out what it fits. What I do know is that it's a .22 Short and I think it fits a pistol. The front measure 2 1/4" , the rear 2 1/2" , it locks if from the front and that is 3/4" from the top.http://i741.photobucket.com/albums/xx55/kenn692/clippics002.jpg

I went through my references, couldn't find anything.
More than likely the magazine is secured by a external "magazine latch". That bares on the bottom flat surface of the magazine base plate. Similarly to #35 shown in this schematic view of a Browning Nomad pistol.

I believe it is an aftermarket magazine, rather than factory. I have owned Unique, Galesi, Bernardelli, Astra & Colt, Beretta, and Tanfoglio .22 short pistols. I don't remember any of them looking like this. The size looks like Bernardelli. 0 -
I was thinking it was aftermarket by the shape of the bottom metal. But the rest of the mag looks like a better quality than most aftermarkets. The front of the magazine has an indent that I was assuming is for locking the mag in. Thanks for the answers. 0 -
Looks like the magazine used by H&R on a couple semi-auto and one bolt-action .22 rifles in the 1940s '50s. 0
