couple years ago i bought a savage cub single shot 22 and rechambered it to 22 magnum...solid little rifle with some heft and wood stock....thought i would do same again so i got a rascal....never got hands on first so i was disppointed when it arrived..plastic stock was sop but reciever and bolt are about 1/2 the metal of the cub...compare the two and the rascal should sell for no more than $100...fine for lr but not sure about magnum...buy and learn

Condition would have a great baring on value. Savage has made the over and under .22 mag/20 gauge since the 60's.
Back then they were considered, inexpensive utility guns. Something to be stashed behind the truck seat. I bought my first one used, for $50. It was one of the early models with a nickel plated frame. And barrel selector on the side of the receiver.
It would be best if you could post quality photos for accurate identification and valuation. Some of the early models, like the one I owned. Would be in demand by collectors.0
