Looks rare enough brass to be worth pulling down to brass and bullets for regular mail shipment.

I would try selling the loaded ammo on our auction before breaking it down. Lot of the older drillings and combination guns were brought home by our G.I.'s, as souvenirs after the war. The Brenneke cartridge(s) were popular for these guns.

    golferboy426,

When using a search engine for European cartridge designations, it's often more suitable to leave out the spaces between characters:

    8x65R Brenneke

Also, use a lower case 'x' rather than the upper case or capital version.

Using the above information, I was able to find all the information needed about the cartridge as well as closed auctions on GunBroker.

    Best.

Developed in 1912 for Mauser rifles and combination guns. Loaded in both J (.318) and S (.323) 8MM size bullets. The box may show what size, J or S.

I found about 6 NOS boxes at a store closing. They got sold on GB to a Texas man to take to Uruguay... at a pretty price.
