    Bob Dalton must have had some extra roomy boots. It looks like a standard SAA to me. Walking around with something big and heavy as that in your boot, couldn't haven't been a lot of fun.

    Didn't walk, rode a horse. This was common practice for Calvary troopers during the civil war. Much easier than trying to draw a revolver from a belt holster.

    A friend of mine had a 32-20 Colt SAA and I recall that it appeared to be about the same frame size at the standard 45 Long Colt. Unfortunately his home was burglarized and it was stolen, so it's been several years since I've seen it.

    They were exactly the same size. There was no difference in Colt SAA frame size due to caliber.
