Need help with DOM for a Marlin 39A...SN M 2678

Your serial number starts with the letter "M" so it was made in 1955...........if it didn't have the "M" you would subtract the first 2 digits (2 and 6) from 100 which would make it a 74'...but as written it is a 1955 DOM...[;)]
