In the condition you describe,I would part it out. Not worth fixing. Fleabay would be your best bet, for the grips and other small parts. Post quality photos.

Hundreds of thousands of those Saturday Night Specials, were made around the turn of the 20th Century. By various manufacturers. A lot of them are presently in the same inoperable condition as yours. Folks find them stashed in old trunks in the attic. And need parts to fix them.

They have other models listed. Basket cases have their uses. Learning to make or fit parts is best done hands on, books and video's only go so far. It will sell better as a group, parting it out might double or more your money in 10 times the amount of time. I doubt its a high demand/dollar item.

Thanks for the advice, I will put it up as parts. I am also not sure if I can mail this as an antique, I believe it to be made prior to 1898.

Only thing you actually have to be concerned about is the frame. Although Forehand & Wadsworth ceased doing business under that name, in the early 1890's, per Flayderman.
