7mm mag to 264 win mag.

I'm having a heckuva time finding 264 brass, but 7mm mag brass is plentiful. Can the 7mm simply be ran through a 264 die and used? Thanks.

I have a bunch of 264 brass, some reloads, and some new factory ammo. I'm sure we can work a deal. I'd rather trade but will sell if you have nothing to trade.

To answer the original question, Yes.
History:
Winchester introduced the 264 Win Mag in 1958, it was Winchesters first magnum of their own design. The 264 never really caught on, short barrel life, lack of good bullets in 6.5mm(264)that would withstand 3,300+ fps, and the fact that 264s don't really work well without a 26" barrel all contributed.
In 1962 Remington introduced the model 700 and the 7mm Rem Mag, 1 year before Winchester came out with the 300 Win Mag.
The 7 Rem Mag is nothing more than a 264 case necked out to 7mm. Both cases are 2.500 OAL. The 7mm Rem Mag works well in 24" or even 22" barrels, is slower, thus had a better bullet selection, and instantly gained popularity.
