256 win mag
Is anyone making brass or ammo for the 256 win mag? I can't find any and what I'm making from 357 brass isn't turning out the best.

varian,
According to the practitioners, anneal first then use a .30 Mauser die to start the neck and finish with the .256 die.

Be sure to use brass cases not nickle plated ones, you'll lose too many in the neck down. I did this for my Marlin lever gun 30+ years ago and with fresh brass and light lube was able to go straight into the .256 die without the intermediate step. One trick I found was that after the round was loaded I needed to pass them thru a carbide .357 die with the center spindle removed for easier chambering. 0
