Sm. Rifle or Sm. pistol primers

Is it ok to use small rifle primers in place of small pistol for 38 spl. reloads. Im thinking it was but i dont remember.Im running low on sm. pistol but have a lot of sm. rifle.

  I ran many 1000's SR in my S&W model 60. I had to add a shim to the main spring to get to 100% ignition. The K frame's had no issues. I also don't load +P levels.

  Just try a few before loading a bunch [;)] Rifle primers are harder and see if your pistol will fire them [^]

  wideners has CCI small pistol at a reasonable price. Why muck up your loads?
