Yep Texas should have stayed out of the Union but 1845 to 2014 is 169 years which isn't to bad of a run however now with The state of affairs here in this union like it is then it won't last long unless their is an miracle for The Federal Government and Federal Reserve has lead it into bankruptcy along with corporate socialism.

Careful.....JFK and McKinley were both murdered for bucking the Federal Reserve.[;)]0 -
President Lincoln was assassinated for printing U.S. Treasury Greenbacks, and having the civil war conspirators arrested--the same who later had the president killed.
Then the same civil war conspirators founded the Federal Reserve. They first had to get control over all the states.
This was the last president of free Texas, who handed it over to Washington D.C.
