Documents from an Ohio National Guard (ONG) training drill conducted last January reveal the details of a mock disaster where Second Amendment supporters with "anti-government" opinions were portrayed as domestic terrorists.

Portsmouth Chief of Police Bill Raisin told NBC 3 WSAZ-TV in Huntington, West Virginia that the drill accurately represented "the reality of the world we live in," adding that such training "helps us all be prepared."
Internal ONG documents provided to Media Trackers after repeated delays provide further context to what WSAZ-TV reported last winter.
In the disaster-preparedness scenario, two Portsmouth Junior High School employees poisoned school lunches with mustard gas, acting on orders from white-nationalist leader William Pierce.
The ONG team discovered biological weapons being produced in the school, requiring activation of containment and decontamination procedures.
Participants in the disaster drill located documents expressing the school employees' "anti-government" sentiments, as well as a note identifying Pierce as the fictional right-wing terrorists' leader.
ONG's 52nd Civil Support Unit participated in a similar drill involving left-wing terrorists with Athens County first responders last year; public officials apologized for that training the next day in response to complaints from local environmentalist groups.
No apology to Ohioans who support limited government and the Second Amendment appears to be forthcoming.
Scioto County Emergency Management Agency director Kim Carver refused to comment, telling Media Trackers she was "not going to get into an Ohio Army National Guard issue that you have with them."
Ohio National Guard Communications Director James Sims II suggested Media Trackers was "inferring" from the ONG document's contents as opposed to "what's actually in the report."
After excerpts of the report were read to him, Sims said it was "not relevant" to understand why conservatives may feel unduly targeted by ONG's training scenario.
"Okay, I'm gonna stop ya there. I'm going to quit this conversation," Sims concluded. "You have a good day."
Buckeye Firearms Association spokesman Chad Baus told Media Trackers that "it is a scary day indeed when law enforcement are being trained that Second Amendment advocates are the enemy,"
"The revelation of this information is appalling to me, and to all citizens of Ohio who are true conservatives and patriots, who don't have guns for any other reason than that the Second Amendment gives them that right," Portage County TEA Party Executive Director Tom Zawistowski said in a separate Media Trackers interview.
Media Trackers reached out to Portsmouth-area state legislators Representative Terry Johnson and Senator Joe Uecker for comment about the drill, which took place within their respective districts. Neither replied to phone calls or emails in time for publication.

In 2012, members of the anarcho-socialist Occupy Cleveland movement were arrested and prosecuted for attempting to destroy the Brecksville-Northfield High Level Bridge with explosives, to commemorate International Workers' Day.
Last year, leftist groups Earth First and the Animal Liberation Front (ALF) claimed responsibility for the sabotage and property destruction of businesses in Washington and Van Wert counties.

BOSTON - National guard units seeking to confiscate a cache of recently banned assault weapons were ambushed on April 19th by elements of a para-military extremist faction. Military and law enforcement sources estimate that 72 were killed and more than 200 injured before government forces were compelled to withdraw.
Speaking after the clash Massachusetts Governor Thomas Gage declared that the extremist faction, which was made up of local citizens, has links to the radical right-wing tax protest movement. Gage blamed the extremists for recent incidents of vandalism directed against internal revenue offices. The governor, who described the group's organizers as "criminals," issued an executive order authorizing the summary arrest of any individual who has interfered with the government's efforts to secure law and order. The military raid on the extremist arsenal followed wide-spread refusal by the local citizenry to turn over recently outlawed assault weapons.
Gage issued a ban on military-style assault weapons and ammunition earlier in the week. This decision followed a meeting in early this month between government and military leaders at which the governor authorized the forcible confiscation of illegal arms.
One government official, speaking on condition of anonymity, pointed out that "none of these people would have been killed had the extremists obeyed the law and turned over their weapons voluntarily." Government troops initially succeeded in confiscating a large supply of outlawed weapons and ammunition. However, troops attempting to seize arms and ammunition in Lexington met with resistance from heavily-armed extremists who had been tipped off regarding the government's plans. During a tense standoff in Lexington's town park, National Guard Colonel Francis Smith, commander of the government operation, ordered the armed group to surrender and return to their homes. The impasse was broken by a single shot, which was reportedly fired by one of the right-wing extremists. Eight civilians were killed in the ensuing exchange. Ironically, the local citizenry blamed government forces rather than the extremists for the civilian deaths. Before order could be restored, armed citizens from surrounding areas had descended upon the guard units. Colonel Smith, finding his forces overmatched by the armed mob, ordered a retreat. Governor Gage has called upon citizens to support the state/national joint task force in its effort to restore law and order. The governor also demanded the surrender of those responsible for planning and leading the attack against the government troops. Samuel Adams, Paul Revere, and John Hancock, who have been identified as "ringleaders" of the extremist faction, remain at large.

so much for swearing a oath to supporting the constitution . if or when it happens I would like to think the "troops" would remember there members of a society that was by created by the people for the people not what a few azz wipes have decided is good for us .
I hope that day never happens but each year we seem to take a step closer just like the doomsday clock kept for the nuclear big one, what is now about 12 minutes to midnight on that one ?0 -
Sadly, I would expect the military to follow orders, I'd expect most LE to do the same. Not sure how much room we have to complain, by in large we all follow the dictates of the "Party", we continually re-elect people who have proven to be enemies of the Constitution and the citizens it represents. We have all been well trained to abandon liberty and independent thought and join and support some form of collective. 0 -
I spoke with a twice deployed Guardsman a few years ago whose comment was "if Iraqi's could shoot like Americans (deer hunting was the topic that led to this discussion), none of us would have made it home alive". His unit got shot AT a lot but the only casualties came from IED blasts. 0 -
Does anyone here remember Kent State Massacre.Ohio National Guard vs Kent State Students.They were not armed.There was Ruby Ridge,Siege of Waco,Battle of Athens,TN,Bonus Riots,Wounded Knee and others.All abuse of power.I did my three years back then.My 1st cousin, childhood friend and fishing buddy was KIA in NAM in '67. He never saw his child.Kent State was a sad day for our country. 0 -

I remember Kent State......Many of the so called unarmed students were not Kent State students but outsiders and Communist protesters. The famous picture of a crying young lady kneeling by a so called victim comes to mind. She was a teen who had no business there in the first place. I also recall that the guardsmen were being assaulted with projectiles and gunfire/gunfire sounds occurring before the guardsmen opened fire.
Today's guard is a different bunch. They would certainly have the guts to surround a house where a guy who wouldn't surrender his AR is holed up. They don't however have the guts to go in and clean up our inner cities where there are numerous criminals with illegal weapons and anarchy already reigns.0 -
The fact that the "Guard" can be nationalized (Fed Troops) means local soldiers would be shooting their kin....The Nat. Guard was established to defend a state,but can be used by the Feds if they so desire...State of Alabama when George Wallace stood in "The School House Door"...University of Alabama...'60,s ...But the main reason for the Guard was to make sure there will never be another secession of a state... 0
