40 years Tonight

It was Christmas 40 years ago that I went out on my last insertion in to jungles of SEA. I have not thought of it for many years, but tonight I'm back and can smell, and taste the green that was hell.
Sleep well my brothers for I'm again on duty.

  I never got to Thailand.
  
  Had a family friend named Joel Mayo who was with SOW for many years.
  
  He died at Desert 1 in Tehran 1979...
  
  I was a marine in RVN from 1965 to 1968.
