Have a photo of a deer ..
with a deformed antler. Will it always grow back like that? Looks like it got some kind of injury when growing as there is a small bulge in the beam & then goes down from there. It is a 4x4 whitetail. Very easy to see it's the same one on my trail cam all the time.

Next year it will probably be normal. If they get an injury to the antler when it is in early growth phases it can cause deformity. 0 -
or it could have been wounded/injured on the opposite side of its body..if the wound has healed up properly the antler will return to normal growth the following year. in your case it was bent or damaged as it was growing. 0 -
How about posting the picture? 0 -
I,m no computer guru, can't do it. Give me an email & I'll send it to you & you post it. 0 -
I was under the impression if an antler was damaged, it would grow back that way every year. 0 -
If the root is damaged then likely deformed every year, if the antler was damaged while growing it should return to normal next year.
Send it to me by clicking on my name.
added It would be posted by now if you sent it to me.0 -

Could be either a antler wound when it was in process of growing or a issue with the opposite side of the animals body. If the body issue is permanent the antler re-growth may be deformed again next time it grows.
Seen article about left and right deer antler growth and if left testicle was removed the right antler would be deformed and vice versa.
If both testicles are removed and it goes viral the white house politicians or commander in chief would call and congratulate for coming out of the closet and place the patient on Obama care with gov't assistance.[}:)]0 -
I'd bet dimes to dog poop that'll grow back normal next year. 0
