Resizing 357 Sig Brass Die
Best way to set up 357 Sig resizing die? Just run the die down until it hits the shell holder and then turn a 1/4 more turn and lock? Or is there a better way to set up?

Use the pistols chamber as a gauge. Full length resize a fired case. Coat the shoulder area with a sharpie black marker. Prussian Blue is actually better. But few folks other than machinists, have any. If you put a thick coat of the sharpie, and don't let it dry, it should work.
Using trial and error. Feeding through the mag. Make sure the extractor engages the rim, as you let the slide run forward into battery. Adjust the sizer. So that none of ink on the shoulder is rubbed off.
Sharpie ink is easily cleaned off. With drugstore alcohol, and a wooden stick Q tip.0 -
For some reason the 357 Sig is designed to headspace on the case mouth like a straight case autoloader instead of the shoulder so, unless you have a custom barrel that does headspace on the shoulder datum line, be sure the case is within spec for overall length. One thing I found was a plus was to run the finished round through a .40 S&W carbide sizing die with the spindle removed. The loads seem to flex just a little when seating the bullet and this takes them back to spec. 0
