My experience with collector quality,($$$$$), arms over the years. Would put 90%, on the border line as a shooter quality firearm.

Not familiar with the price range of 3rd generation Colts?

But at 90%. Would hold back, because as recently manufactured. Don't see it having great collector demand/value. In that condition.

At that time, walnut grips were factory installed on nickel plated guns; they could be special ordered on blue guns, or aftermarket installed. The fit of factory installed grips will be perfect, as the fitting was done before the grip frame was blued.

It looks like 1978, and the grips fit perfectly. It is being offered to a friend of mine for $1,000, so it appears to be appropriately priced.
