+5000 in the completed advanced search. Condition is important along with the dash number and accessories like the box, tools and paperwork. Things like special grips, sights, full under lug, and porting make a difference especially if factory installed. 0 -

advanced search??
You need to be a registered user on the auction side to use it. On top of the page there is the golden GB bullet, follow that line to the right past the search box and click on the word "advanced". Once you're in there, there are 2 tabs to click on, current, and competed items. I'd click on the completed tab and enter your search listing.0 -
gotcha.. thanks again 0 -

Fair market value (which is what you're asking about) is going to depend on condition, exact sub-model (older "pre-lock" guns are worth a bit more), accessories coming with the gun (if any, that includes original box and papers), and market condition at the time you sell.
But as a quick and dirty "ball park" used 6" bbl 629s in good condition are running about $600-700 right now.
As already mentioned, looking at completed sales on the auction site is a really good way to see what similar guns are ACTUALLY selling for (ie true market value). You have to be a registered user to do that search, but its free, and well worth the effort.0
