I inherited one of the above in about 95% condition.

the .32 cal. stamped on the barrel means 32 acp, right?

  No it does not.
  Depending on the age of the gun, it might be chambered for .32 Long Colt or .32 New Police which is the same as .32 S&W Long.
  
  .32 ACP stands for Automatic Colt Pistol and while it will sometimes headspace on the semi-rim in a revolver it is not reliable and amounts to an overload for these older revolvers.

  Or, it might be chambered for .32 Colt-which is an altogether different (and obsolete) cartridge. Don't use .32 acp.
