760 ADL in 223 Remington-worth
Friends, An FFL friend of mine has a Remington 760 as described above. It retains 95%+ of its bluing, has ADL wood, that has a couple dings, nothing to serious, and wears a Weaver 1-4.5x variable.
The bore is nice, and the barrel has sights, including the old leaf style adjustable rear sight, leading me to believe it is an early to mid 1970's rifle. The distributor it came from, says that it was a police trade in.
Can any of you shed any light on the value? I have searched the auction side for sold items, and have not found a single one in the last 90 days. I do know they are a rare and sought after item. Looking for an honest starting price for an auction. I will let this forum, and the General forum know when it is posted on the auction side.
Everyone have a Merry Christmas, and a Happy New Year!
Thanks to all!
