I realize this is very redundant, but I have Ser#185-08703 which as far as I can see doesn't match up with Ruger's listed mfg dates?? Any help would be appreciated.

  From this SN data list, from Ruger. My WAG is that you have a transition model dating to the early 90's

  Your mini is a 1986 model.
  You need to go by starting number before yours and the next year after yours [;)]
