Winchester 86 rear sight

I am trying to determine the correct rear sight for an 1886 serial number 143588. It is a 33 cal takedown half mag and letters as such. Someone in the past has replaced the rear sight with a blank and added a tang peep, effective but not correct. Strobels book says a 24 but when I read Madis' Sight book it lists all the variations of the number 24 and I am not clear as to which is correct 24D?

  The serial number identifies it as a late 1907 or early 1908 production rifle. At that time, Winchester was not using a "number" series sight system. The correct rear sight would be a standard "Sporting" or a "Flat-top Sporting" with a 1C elevator for either sight.
