    NATO is a set standards for the ammo to be made to. Tolerance is set for a range with each value like bullet weight +- some amount. Same for case length, pressure ....

    The book "Cartridges of the World". Has a section devoted to military ammo.

    It defines 9mm Nato, As the M882 cartridge. Below data is for Beretta M9 Pistol.

    Velocity, - 1251 +/- 25 FPS at 16 Meters.

    Total weight of cartridge, - 179 grains.

    Weight of case, - 42 grains.

    Weight of bullet, - 124 grains

    It also notes powder weights, Brand of powder - HPC 26, Bullet being made of copper alloy, And no identification coloring on bullet.

    Pressure Limits (with 6203 Transducer): (Port +35) max 2650 bar

    8g = 123/124 grains
    2650 bar = 38,435 psi, which makes the rounds a +P load. Note that the "pressure limits" are measured at a different point than the pressure limits set by SAAMI.
