I think they were marked. I don't think a 22 LR will fire in a 22 MRF cylinder and if they do they will be swollen and bulged perhaps even split.

Hard extraction in the proper cylinder can be caused by crud build up from shooting shorts and not cleaning the chambers. Could also be a damage to the back of each chamber from dry firing.

added Use a good solvent like Shooter's Choice and a wire brush. Then look into the chambers to see that they are in fact clean and shiny. Examine the spent brass for scratches on the sides. If the chambers are damaged the spent brass should show scratches. It only takes 1 burr on one chamber to make for hard extraction. Try them one at a time.

cylinder is not marked that I can see, I will clean real good again but a live run will drop in and fall right out with no trouble.

Get some JB bore cleaner It will polish chambers in cylinder you need to put JB on patch and take about 20 passes on each chamber in cylinder don't worry about JB it will polish but will not scratch or remove metal

A 22 Magnum case won't fit in a 22 lr chamber. The chamber should have a shoulder in it. If it's deeper than the 22 lr is log t's a 22 Magnum, if the same it's a 22 lr. Should be easy to eyeball.

FWIW, I've had several dual cylinder revolvers and all would fire .22LR in the Mag. cylinder. Not recommended, and accuracy wasn't up to snuff, but good to know in a pinch. As already noted, easiest thing might be to try chambering a mag. round. Also I find it hard to imagine a l.r. round, even bulged* as they are, being at all difficult to extract. Like they say, clean and check for damage.
My bet is on the l.r. cylinder. Let us know what you find out.
*Over the years I've fired maybe 200 hundred l.r. rounds in mag. cylinders for various reasons. All bulged, but I've never experienced a split.
