The W Richards marked on your shotgun, isn't the famous english gunmaker.

Your shotgun was made in Belgium, during the late 19th early 20th Century timeframes. It was common for the Belgians to put spurious markings on their guns. To deceived unspohisticated buyers.

Your shotgun could have been made on a piece work basis, by any one of 1/2 a dozen Belgian manufacturers. They are long out of business, at this late date.

The only way your going to get your shotgun fixed is to hunt up a gunsmith who specializes in the old hammer doubles. He will have to make and fit the required parts, to make it operable. Likely this will be a quite lengthy, and expensive to you proposition.
