Remington model 510
Did Remington ever stock the model 510 rifles with mahogany?
I have a customer insistent that early 510 stocks were mahogany.
I've never seen one, but I'm not the expert on them.
Thanks - Al

Fact checked it, in the "History of Remington Firearms" by Roy Marcot. No mention of Mahogany, being used for 510 stocks. 0 -
Thank you ever so much.

They were all walnut, but the finish Remington used, turned a red color like mahogany over time. There is usually some very nicely grained walnut hidden underneath the Rem finish too. 0 -
Some people mix up walnut and mahogany (and even spruce). 0
