870 wingmaster problem
My 870 12 gauge gets progressively harder to pump after 5-10 shots. When I take it down I lubricate the arms and thoroughly clean and lightly lubricate all moving parts and it works smoothly.... for 5-10 shots. All advice welcomed.

When you "take it down", do you disassemble the fore-end and bolt carrier also? If so, have you noticed any wear patterns, shiny spots, or other evidence of dragging/binding? 0 -
+1 for any metal grit showing up when you rip it down and wipe all the parts down with a clean rag. Look at the cleaning rags greasy spots with a strong light for any shiny metal looking flakes or powder.
What lube are you using? How long an interval between cleaning and shooting the 10 rounds. What 10 rounds are you using. You aren't shooting 3" mags in a 2 3/4 barrel.

Check for burrs on the camming surfaces on the action bars. Also check for them on the back corner of the locking lug 0 -
While it is remote it could be the ammunition. What ammo are you using? I have run into a Mossberg and 2 870's in the last few months that have problems with the cheap silver based shells. 2 didn't want to eject at all and 1 got harder after a few shots. I believe this is due to the metal base expanding more than the normal brass base. 0
