Do you mean "Webley"? 0 -
I think you are talking about a British Webley revolver, manufactured by Webley & Scott. There are some members that have a lot of knowledge concerning these revolvers, I am not one of them.

I guess Webley is what I mean. Some one is wanting to trade me a near mint one for a wwll German helmet my son has. What approx. would a near mint Webley be worth? 0 -
There are a variety of Webley revolvers, but I believe that only the Mark IV was produced during WWII. Most were chambered for .38 S&W (not .38 Special) so that makes ammo rather pricey. In truly mint condition (not reworked and refinished to look like mint)$600-$700 would be about right, but value falls of quickly for pistols which are not truly mint.
Don't take this the wrong way, but if you don't know Wimbley from Webley, making any sort of trade is probably not going to work to your advantage.0 -
no offence taken, the guy just emailed that he had a wimbley he would trade, that's why I asked about it that away 0 -

If he posted high quality photos, to a web sharing site. You could post them on here, for identification and valuation.
Some W W II, original kraut helmets. Are worth big bucks though. I wouldn't cut loose on it. Until it is properly identified, and priced. Same same, as the Webley.0 -
Do your research before you trade 0 -
Thanks for all the advice, I will try to get some pictures of both helmet and Webley on here for more advice. Thanks 0 -
Don't do it. I had a guy trade me a Mauser made P-38 for a single decal Luftwaffe M-35 helmet.
I'm keeping the rest of my stock for awhile.0
