soggy safety on a Glock
the trigger safety on my Glock is weak. it is almost all the way down. it works, but flops around. drives me nuts.
the other Glock I had, had a nice stiff trigger safety that let your finger know it was there when you put it on the trigger. like this one

so I removed the trigger assembly... then realized that's as far as you can go.
(didn't take the sear off like in the picture)

the idea was to remove the safety and stretch the spring out so it's nice and stiff.
well, you can't disassemble the trigger any further to remove the safety or the transfer bar.
those two pins you see on the trigger only go in that side.
look at the other side and it's a solid wall of plastic.
apparently they were not meant to be removed. insert-only.
is there some way you can get the pins out? is there some other way to remove the safety?
is there some way to stretch out the spring (or whatever it is) without taking it apart further?

has nothing to do with trigger pull.
it's not gummed up. yeah I could just buy a new one, but a) I would rather have original OEM parts and b) I don't want to wait for it. I want to do it now! dangit

Don't mean to confuse the issue. The disconnector shown on the left side of the graphic, has to be changed to alter the trigger pull. Although their are different weights of trigger pull springs available. Stick with the info in the graphic. Use the "+", "-" and blank markings on the disconnector as a guide to trigger pulls.

I have seen the POS glock "trigger safety" dingus get gummed up, nothing some solvent couldn't cure though.
Maybe instead of trying to repair the defective part how about just replacing the trigger/trigger bar unit with a new one? Brownell's usually has them in stock. Seeing how that the dingus is the only thing that blocks the trigger (kind of) and keeps you from glocking yourself, I think the $20.00 for new parts is easily justified.
Don't be a bubba.[:D]0
