need info
I found a Shotgun that I need info on. On the left hand side of the reciever it has "Springfield model 67h savage arms westfield mass usa". It also has a number that might be the serial no. it is "A467432". On the same side but on the barrel it has a spade, "17x" mark and a "v" mark. On the right hand side of the barrel it has "proof tested 12 gauge 3 inch chamber an "sp" in a circle another "v". On top of the barrel It has a "20x" mark.
any info on this fire arm will help me out alot I need to know if it would be worth fixing because it needs alot of work. also need to know were I can find a manual and parts for it.

What is the best way to transfer a handgun C&R thru internet sale. The firearm is registered in my state. How do I protect myself. What do I need from the buyer. Thanks in advance for any help.

CURRENT EMFs are by Pietta. I don't know if they ever sourced from anybody else.
Don't know about the Lyman.
Do you have the guns in hand to show pictures of the markings?0 -
(3) other Italian makers to consider, are Uberti, Pedersoli and Armi San Paolo/Euroarms.
Mu feeling is that they pretty much made interchangeable replicas. The U.S. importers/distributors sold from the particular Italian maker, who could give them the best/cheapest price.
Your best reference, on which specific maker made the revolvers your interested in. Would likely be "Black Powder Revolvers, Reproductions and Replicas" by Dennis Adler.0 -
My Lyman 1851 Navy was made by Armi San Paolo. Look for a DGG proofmark for Armi San Paolo or any others that will identify another maker. 0 -
