Remington Model 341 Sportsmaster
Has anyone heard of these .22 rifles? I cleaned one up for a friend of mine, and he says his uncle who gave it to him said it was kind of a special rifle. Only found a bare receiver on the auction side, so can't really get much info on what it is worth.
Are they rare or ??? Thanks.

My Uncle gave me a Charter Arms .22 that is pretty special.
It isn't rarity that makes it special, it is the gift.0 -

I had one back in the early 70's. Bent the firing pin with an overloaded 22. Straightened it and it shot just fine. Dad traded it off while I was in the Army.0 -
The P is the scarce one. Have had one for years. Very accurate as are most Remington .22 Bolt guns from that era. 0 -
My 341-P went to England and came back home from the proofs. The P front sight inserts are just about non-existent. Excellent shooters, this one will hold it's own with my 513-T's. A 341 in like condition will bring about $350, add another $100-$150 for a P model.

Thanks guys. I found it in some of my books. Made from 1936 to 1940, so I suppose age makes it harder to find any.
His is not the peep sight model, but it is a nice rifle. He is 55, has had it since he was a teenager, and has never shot it.
We are going to fix that next week. [;)]0 -
I bought one locally about 10 years ago and have shot it enough to know it is accurate. It is in average shape and was painted flat black, so that's the way I left it. I gave about $75, if I remember correctly. 0
