MARLIN EXPERTS
We have a 1893 Model in 38-55 that says on the left side of the barrel " for black powder " .Can we shoot modern 38-55 ammunition in the gun ?

The 1893 Marlins marked like that is what they called B-grade and used a softer steel if it was mine I would stay away from smokeless factory with jacketed bullets. I had one and I loaded real light and used cast bullets and it seemed to handle them fine 0 -
Where can he get ammo to shoot it then ? 0 -
