SLING SWIVEL FOR CVA OPTIMA?

I have a used CVA Optima .50 cal blackpower Rifle with synthetic black stock. I cannot seem to locate sling swivels that will fit the molded protrusions (swivel bases) of this stock. Uncle Mikes will fit the pin through the hole, but the reach and width are not enough. The prior Owner had started to "whittle" on the forearm base. I'm looking for something that will work for 1 -1/4 inch wide swivel. Any suggestions that will work without me carving? I need a swivel with wider grasp, and longer distance from swivel pin.

  You might consider opening up the inside dimensions of the Uncle Mikes swivels, with Dremel cutting/grinding wheels.
  
  Brownells the gunsmith supply company. Also has a extensive selection of swivels, on both their on-line site and in their catalog. If altering the swivels with a Dremel doesn't work.
