stevens model 225

I am looking at a stevens model 225, first is it safe to shoot? and second will the barrels interchange with the 235 model? It is in really nice shape and is tight. what is the value of this? They want $300, which I think is fair.

  Made around 1906 to ?. I'm not for stressing pre-1930's steel. Being tight as opposed to loose and sloppy is usually good as long as bubba hasn't tightened things up with his ball peen hammer. Good clear pic's if you want a realistic appraisal.
