Satin silver ruger single six discoloration?
Hi, I've fired it a few times and have cleaned it pretty well. There's still like a lighter gray blackish coloration on inside of cylinder after firing and being cleaned should this still be there after scrubbing it good. Doesn't look layered but as If it colored that way from the heat and powder?

Stainless does that. I never worry about it. If you polish it off you are just wearing out your pistol. 0 -
Ok thank you, I just like keep the guns cleaned well, didn't know if this was common. Thanks for your help. 0 -
As already noted, it is common, but if you wanted to clean it without damage, I'd suggest a product like Flitz polish. 0 -
In reality it does not much harm, but to keep it from staining, one must clean it right after the range. The cleaning is fairly straight forward, with a bronze tooth brush, some hopes #9, and a little elbow grease. 0 -
I use J-B Bore Cleaning Compound, a mild abrasive that will also remove the ring from your cylinder chambers.
