Nothing in my references on HP's, in electroless nickel. There were numbers imported, in what BAC called silver chrome finish.

A certain part of the serial number in letters, will be the date. The date for 1988 is "PP".

Need quality close-up photos, for identification and valuation.

A friend of mine had one and IIRC the box called it "Frosted Nickle", a good looking pistol, couldn't talk him out of it.

How about asking Browning Customer Service? I have seen one Belgian made, appeared unfired, in a nickel finish. No letter prefix to SN
