Walther (Colt) 1911-.22 sight options?
Hello. I have not posted in a while but have been reading for several years. I recently received a Walther (Colt) 1911 in .22 LR as a gift from the missus. I have grown fond of it quickly and am going to use it to "plink" on the cheap.
It is the standard "Government" model with plain sights. Are there any options to upgrade the sights...something similar to those on the Gold Cup model of this same piece? Are the sights interchangeable with regular 1911 items?
Any advice would be appreciated. As always, thanks for your time.

I would use it without alteration; it is, as you know, a "plinker". Much of the gun is made from zinc, which is easily damaged. The .22 faux Gold Cup has adjustable sights, but they are not real GC sights. And, both guns have the identical creepy trigger, which cannot be improved.

Fun to shoot but as nmyers states not really for High round countwe would have to know what size dovetail is cut in the slide for front and rear sight then look at what is available from brownell's 0 -
They are sold with three different sight configurations. It would be worth looking to see if one can be replaced easily with another. I bought one with the same sights as my carry commander, but I doubt you will get much greater accuracy. 0
