Early Colt Anaconda - Grips
Is there a difference between an early made Anaconda and the later version with respect to grips? I have an early 8" and the aftermarket grips I bought fit fine, but when the hammer is cocked the mainspring moves down just a bit and rubs up against the screw. You can feel it thumb cocking the hammer just before full cock. Did I buy the wrong grips, or are the grips just off? They're Badger and otherwise great quality.

Coat the grip screw with a black sharpie pen. Reassemble and cycle the hammer 10 times. Where the black sharpie ink has been rubbed off. Carefully file on the screw. Continue doing this, until no ink has been been rubbed off. 0 -
That was my thought too and will give it a try. Just hoping I don't end up with a grip screw that has a spot the thickness of spaghetti. 0
