Winchester 75 another question.

Did Winchester ever groove the receivers on their model 75? I have noticed some that have grooves that look like there for 3/8 inch tip off rings, mostly on the later models.

  Shortly before Winchester stopped making many models of 22 RIMFIRE rifles Most all of them had grooved receivers
