Remington 1100 ????

Remington 1100 12 ga.
Shell stop ( aka intercepter ) stud on receiver broke off ? any suggestions on a reasonable repair ?????

Makes for a double auto until it's fixed. Remington might fix it for free well worth asking them.

I think the stud was high temp silver soldered in place. http://www.gunpartscorp.com/Products/814230.htm If it was mine I would low temp silver solder it in place.

I would phone Remington customer service. They usually don't fool around with receiver repairs; for them, it's cheaper to just send the customer a new shotgun. I have no idea if they would charge you, or, how much.

Just not worth paying someone to fix for you, & then having it break again.

I had the same issue with my 28ga 1100 skeet. It took my gunsmith 20 min and $20 to solder it back into place.
