Looked at a Savage .17 hmr today. Said made in Canada....Whats with that?

Manufactured goods imported for sale in the U.S.. Are required to be marked with the country of origin.

The Savage name is owned by ATK, a multinational conglomerate. Savage products/parts are made/assembled in 11 states, as well as Canada & Mexico.
