H & R Bay State 16 gauge shotgun chamber size??

    THINK it would be 2.9/16 on the old ones. Unless you have a gauge, maybe take it to a gunsmith ?

    From elsewhere " The Bay State was manufactured between 1908 and 1942" I think 2 9/16 was normal US pre-war length. Lots of older stuff were reamed to 2 3/4.

    it is easy to take a wax impression on these guns heat the barrel with a hair dryer and insert a candle remove and you should see the chamber and the forcing cone just measure the impression
