    There ARE jacketed rimfires.

They are called the .22 Winchester Magnum Rimfire, and the .17 Hornady Magnum Rimfire. There are likely some others.

Winchester for a while years ago. Made .22 rf ammo, with a solid TIN bullet. They were terrible. I bought a couple of boxes, for SG.

Very expensive, $7.00 a box of fifty. Inaccurate in the handguns I shot them in. Didn't try shooting them, in any rifles. Sure hope that the tree huggers don't get their way. With banning lead bullet ammo. As I don't see these TIN bullets, being worth a dam.

Why don't they make a FMJ rimfire or a full copper bullet

Because the 22 long rifle doesnt have barrel leading issues.

If you have never shot Remington Thunderbolt Ammo? You are in for a big surprise.

Good question! Why does the Remington Thunderbolt lead so easily?
