hi, i just bought a ruger 77/17hmr. its awsome, but if i would ever want to get a 22lr barrel for it would it work and fit? ive seen some really nice ones. if not, would the 22 magnum barrel fit on it?

There ARE jacketed rimfires.
They are called the .22 Winchester Magnum Rimfire, and the .17 Hornady Magnum Rimfire. There are likely some others.0 -

Winchester for a while years ago. Made .22 rf ammo, with a solid TIN bullet. They were terrible. I bought a couple of boxes, for SG.
Very expensive, $7.00 a box of fifty. Inaccurate in the handguns I shot them in. Didn't try shooting them, in any rifles. Sure hope that the tree huggers don't get their way. With banning lead bullet ammo. As I don't see these TIN bullets, being worth a dam.0 -
