Likely they are metric, with a fine thread.

There are a bunch of folks who sell metric plug screws on-line. But not knowing what the specific size is, makes it rough.

Make a plastic screw. Lathe or drill motor/sandpaper down some plastic rod/coat hanger to just oversize. Warm the plastic rod, screw into hole, let cool. Screw out, measure for both diameter and thread pitch.

Go to local good hardware store that has good selection of metric screws and bolts in the pull out trays. Ask if you can look for a screw/bolt that fits. Gun screws are often fine pitch and not common.

    cut and pasted.

Husqvarna also made commercial m/1894 and m/1896 versions available as sporting rifles called Model 46 and its variants (Models 46A, 46AN and 46B) in 6.5x55mm, 9.3x57mm and 9.3x62mm. After World War II they used m/96 and m/38 actions without thumb notch to create the Model 640 series (646 in 6.5x55mm, 648 in 8x57mm, 649 in 9.3x62mm). These are not to be confused with the late-production Model 640 using FN Herstal M98 actions. Stiga also made sporterized versions in popular calibers, which are very well finished and balanced.

10-32 screws fit mine perfectly; even hold on the old "Echo" scope mount I found to fit it!

"10-32 screws fit mine perfectly; even hold on the old "Echo" scope mount I found to fit it!".............Rich has this nailed, while the screws are metric the 10/32 is 'almost' a perfect fit for the 2 or 3 threads needed, I've altered weaver side mount bases to fit the hole pattern with good results also.
