Remington 37 DOM?
Anyone know the code on Rem 37's for month & year ? Thanks Litetrigger

I don't know the code But I do Know the Rifle. IMHO it was the Highest quality 22 rifle ever built in THE USA
EDITMy rifle does not have any Letters on the left side of the barrel except 22 LONG RIFLE ending about 1/4 inch in front of the receiver The Receiver left side about3/8 inch from were the receiver front edge is 03904. About 5 inches forward of the receiver the top of barrel is marked in very tiny scrip REMINGTON ARMS CO..INC.ILION.N.Y MADE IN U.S.A.

Now on the right side of barrel just in front of the receiver are Two marks side by side the marks are NOT an X but are both MALTESE CROSSES so the post below this one does not take in consideration any of the markings of my rifle. the markings of the Maltese crosses could be confused as X but there are only 2 not 3 so either no month
and a year of 1951 or a date of December in a year many years before the first model 37 was made.0 -
I don't know why, but the m-37 has tha barrel code on the RIGHT side (at least mine did, ser. # 7000) code was "l, t t" = feb. 1948. 0
