Winchester Model 42?
The Blue Book states that prewar model 42s add 25% to value. Is a gun made in 1942 considered prewar. It also states that 2 1/2" chamber guns only, add 30%. In 1942 were they making both 2 1/2 and 3" chambers if so would you add both premiums to the value.

1947 Gun, Solid Rib, Factory CYL Bore. Is this considered to be rarer than other chokes. 0 -
I don't know if it's rarer, however the majority of 42's that I've seen have been full. I've never patterned any 410's and have always wondered just how much difference there was between an ic and full in a 410. 0 -
Is it marked "skeet", and have 2 bead sights on the barrel? 0 -
Schwing notes in his book "The Winchester Model 42" that Cylinder choked guns are quite rare. Add the solid rib feature to this choke and the number made becomes significantly more rare. 0 -
Thanks it is marked CYL, 28" Solid rib 0 -
That is a scarce one. Don't know where you got this, but maybe there was another barrel with this gun when it left the factory. 2 barrel set, perhaps. 0
