Fold-up shotgun stock

I don't know about the Mossberg, but I have too much experience with the Remington 870 Police top-folder. It is convenient and makes the gun easier to manipulate in close quarters - with the stock folded. Once you swing it down and try to fire it from the shoulder STAND BY! The edge of the stock's topside will catch your cheekbone when you try to get your normal cheekweld and do its very best to put your cheekbone on top of your head. The recoil, especially with slugs, is enough to give you near terminal flinchitis in a couple of shots. If you need a short shotgun for close encounters of the home-invasion kind get a set of Pachmayr replacements to give you a good pistol grip with some recoil absorption properties and good gripping surface. Brownell's has them as well as a set from Hogue both offer Remington and Mossberg 500 - no Savage that I could see. If you have access to their #67 catalogue they are on pages 202 and 203, they also show some folding stocks.

The Knoxx/Blackhawk stock is about the only thing I can think of matching what you're looking for.
